Enjoying summer

As you know I have a small pause from the gym because of the surgery on my foot (bunion).
But I am not just sitting inside and get bored! Sunday I was looking after my brother and his wife's little cat,Zorro 💓

All the naturephotoes are from our familyfarm where I and my brother grew up,- a beautyful childhood with cows, horse, hens, pigs, sheep and a cat. And our grandparents and parents 💓 Our ancestors came to Kongsberg because someone found silver in our mountains, and King Christian IV (king of Denmark and Norway) founded silvermines.

I walk on my foot now, not fully and sometimes with chruches, but "OK". Will take the plaster off in 2 weeks (just in time for our jazzfestival 🎶),- that will be nice 💪and then I can go back to the gym again 😎

Another pause from training

On Friday I was at the hospital for a long wanted surgery 👍
For many years I have been bothered with bunions on both feet and finally I was going to get it fixed 😊
As you can see I have bunions on both feet, and I have big problems finding nice shooes.

Done 😊 And I love the colour of the plaster 💓
I had my last visit at the gym on Wednesday and this is what I did:
* Treadmille: 11% 5 km, 15 min. Heartrate 104/max 111, 154 calories lost 😉

* Back extension: 10X3, 47 kg holding my hands on my chest not on the handles (that's the way I can feel my back muscles are working, not not my legs)
* Torso rotation: 10X3, 25 kg
* Pectoral fly: 10X3, 12 kg (this is for my posture)
* Balanse on the half fitnessball (BOSU ball)
* Pulldown: 10X3, 30 kg
* Seated legpress: 10X3, 55kg

* "Roing": 10X3, 9


Hopefully I can go back to the gym next week doing arms and back excersises 💪 And hopefully I can drive my car again in the weekend, it is automatic so even with the plaster it should be ok 🚗


The calender say we finally have summer,but the nice warm temperature has only been here a few days. I really miss a warm,sunny period! 🌞

Some of my excercises today

Today I did all my training and some of them I managed to increase weight 💪

Leg press 65 kg again! Finally 😉
With manuals I increased from 2 to 3 kg on my damaged vrist!


I sometimes stand on a half fitnessball to balanse. Not bad? I stand on the flat part.Bilderesultat for halv fitnessball

1 year at the gym! New record!

                                                         💖 WOW 💖

This week it is 1 year since I started at the gym! I am sooo proud of myself because earlier I stopped after 1-2 months! Even with all that has been happening this winter (1 ugly falls on the ice, colds, food poisening +++) I have managed to continue 👍

Yesterday I did the whole program, still less weight on leg press than I did in November, but soon....
Last Saturday we had summer temperature, yesterday it was snowing again 😢
How are you doing? Do you reach your goals? How is the season where you live?

I cannot give up!

Finally I was able to go to the gym again! I did most of the program 👍 When I started I got pain in my lower back, but after 3-4 excercises it was ok 😊 

I wanted to see how I have been doing this year,- wow!!  It is almost 1 year since I started!
I do more different excercises now than last May, but to compare then and now I have looked at some of the excercises to see if I am better. There are 3 columns: May 2016, November and April 2017, I have had some accidents (2 falls on ice) and some colds = no training.

As you can see, something is better and something is worse. 2 falls on the ice (forehead in November and fractured wrist in January) and the colds made it necessary to take some time out 😢 The reason Back extension and rotation is less is because the weight was too much for my back.

 But they say we will get almost summer next weekend! I really hope is will happen 💓
My body is really tired after this icy winter.

Easter

The only excercise I have been doing this Easter is walking with my little dog,- I still have the cold and caughing 😞
But the snow is gone and Dennis and I have had some nice walks! I always have my Nordic poles with me and then I can walk for longer walks.


There are lots of things to see in nature now:
These are some of the first flowers we can find in Spring :-) Blue Anemone
There is still lots of ice on the water, but it is not safe to walk on! You can find lots of nice patterns in it 😊 I found these beautyful stars.

Hopefully I can go back to the gym in a few days! This winter has not been good to my body 👎 So I have lots to catch up! I have made some goals for this summer too,- one is the same as last year just to see if I am better now!

In this photo I am really tired and you can easely see my angelwing (right shoulderblad sticking out)
 I hope you all are doing fine? Have you had Eastervacation? In Norway shops are closed for lots of days during Easter, life "starts" again the 18. of April.

I really hope we are getting warmer weather soon, I have to have fire in my fireplace and outside I use woollen clothes.

My dog is originally from Tibet (Himalaya) so he loves snow



This early in the spring I allways buy flowers that can take some snow and minus degrees

My gym :-)

This is my gym, it is not very big but very nice people working there 👍 And it is not only people with big muscles working out in front of the mirror,- we are older people and handicaped,- a good mix!
I did almost mye whole program today too,- I am getting there 😊
I use this with one hand at a time now to train my left hand. Today I could increase the weight from 2 to 4! On my right hand I do 6 now. When I could use both at the same time I used 10 or 11.

(Photo over and under text) This is where I do rotations, my weight is only 25 but the most important is to rotate my body.


Leg press. Before I broke my hand, I managed 65 and 75 kg. Now I do 55.

I like this one! It feels like I get a strech at the same time as I have to work for it :-) I do 47 kg
After the training I went to town,- silly me! Back was not ok when I got home. Better after a rest and some food 😏
We have spring here now and most of the terrible ice is gone! Waiting for the flowers to get out of their sleep 💚
4 years ago I was interviewed in a Norwegian paper about my life with scoliosis, nice respones 😍
