Easter vacation and I am at the gym!

I am really proud of my self! This week I will be at the gym 3 days again 💪 
Before I started I wanted to see what I weigh now:

Absolutely going the right way!

This is the program:
 

* Treadmill: 15 minutes, 11% increase, 5,5 km pr hour, heartrate 107, lost calories 166
* Back extension: 10 X 3, 40 kg
* Pectoral fly/rear detoid: 10 X 3, 12 kg (only for posture)
* BOSO-ball: balance and 10 X 3 squats
* Plank: I read about a young girl who did plank more than 2 HOURS!!! I manage (so far!) 10 or 20 seconds, total 1 minute 😮 But it will be more! I promise 😉
* Sideplank: 6 
* Tummy tuck(?) with feet on a fitnessball: 10

* Rowing: 10 X 3, 10 in weight

After the gym I went for a walk with Dennis in the beautiful sunny weather (snow is finally melting! But it is almost 1 meter left!)


When I was home again I got a really nice surprice! We have twin cousins in Canada that we did not know about 💓 Wow wow wow! It is nice that our family are increasing!

I hope you all will have some nice days in Easter! 

In Norway shops are closed Thursday and Friday because of Easter. Open some hours on Saturday, and then closed Sunday and Monday.
They say we will get nice sunny weather 😎🌞

Pain?

This week I had my last appointement with the chiropractor before the vacation. It was painfull as always because he treats the triggerpoints before he do his magic with the neck and upper back 😏 I am optimistic and think it will help with my daily headache.

I also did my whole program, planks and the other stuff 2 days this week 💪 Maybe I will be back with 3 days a week after vacation?

I know I always say that even with my big curves (90 and 85 degrees) I have very little pain in my back,- here is what I do:
Before I was 40 years old I was active just like my friends,- skiing during winter, dancing for hours several nights every week 🎵 and since I worked as a kindergartenteacher I was activ working too 👍
After menopause my curves got worse and I started to get some pain. I was recommended by a physioterapist to use cruches, maybe I could walk for longer walks with less pain? It worked!
So I always use my cruches or Nordic walking poles outside the house,- it helps me to have less pain AND I don't need heavy painkillers 😊 
My black cruches are foldable, so if my back don't hurt I put them in my rucksack 😊 My walking poles are not because I only use them when I am walking my dog or hiking in the mountain.

Do you use remedies instead of painkillers? I really hope I will be ok with these because I am afraid that starting with painkillers will increase the pain and the use of medication too 😟

Finally spring is here! These 2 photoes are my livingroom window!

 I love spring! It gives hope of better times 💓 I want to work in the garden, go for walks with Dennis without lots of clothes and big boots, use my bicycle and enjoy life!

Chiropractor,- finally!

This is a busy week ! On Monday I finally started to get treated by a chiropractor! In the 80's I got whip lash because of 2 collisions so I started to go to a chiropractor,- it was a blessing! For many years I went to this treatment and I think that this + physioterapy kept me at work 😊 Mainly the chiropractor treated my neck, but sometimes also did something with my spine. After treatment I could move my head without problems!

As some of you know I now wake up every morning at 4-5 o'clock in the morning because of headache. Suddenly I realized that it started after I stopped going to the chiropractor, so I got an appointement with a new guy at the center where my physioterapist and the gym are located.
 First appiontement was on Monday and I was very excited! He was really careful and did a full examination of my body, and heard my story 👍
At the end of the exam he did his thing with my neck. - almost like they are breaking the neck, awfull sound when the gas is set free 😯 But is does not hurt! 
AND after this my neck was behaving normal again! No strange sound, almost like it has been oiled 💓

We will do this a couple of times to see if it helps regarding my headache,- I really ,really hope!!

Yesterday (Thuesday) my upperbody was really sore because he had pushed on every triggerpoint in my torso and head! BUT I went to the gym and did my program,- very proud of my self 😊 So today I am sore from chiropractor + from plank +++++ 💪

Today it was time for the physioterapist,- lovely massage on my sore muscles 😏

Tomorrow another day at the gym!

Do you go to physioterapist or chiropractor or an other terapist? Is it ok? Do you feel better? 

This evening I would very much like to go to a basketballgame where my nephew and his team shall play semi finale,- but I think I just have to follow the match live on internet 😕

We still have lots and lots of snow, but the sun is feeling warmer and the birds have started to sing their spring songs 💗

Pneumonia

Finally back at the gym today after having pneumonia. I even had to stay in the ER for 3 days,- it was a very nice experience 😊 I got medication intravenuos and also asthma medication through a device. My little dog, Dennis was staying with my brother and his family and with a friend of mine and her family 💓
Dennis did not get his walks the first week, but when he vent on vacation he got long walks 👍
 At the ER I got nice food and could relax so it was almost like staying at a hotel!

The 3. week I finally felt better, but it was too early to start at the gym again. This week was a really cold week, down to -18C!! But I had to go for walks with Dennis, and it was the annual marked so I was there with a friend.

 Today (March 6.) I finally got back to the gym 💪

 I was very excited of how bad/good I would feel,- it was ok 😊 

This is what I did:
* Treadmill: 15 minutes 11% increase, 5 km speed, heartrate 108, calories gone 153

* Back extension: 40 kg, 10 X 3
* Pectoral fly/rear detoid: 10 X 3, only 12 kg because this is for me to focus on my posture
* Manuals for my left vrist: one way 10 X 3, 4 kg, the opposite way 10 X 3, 3 kg
* BOSO- ball: balance and balance with squats, 10 x 3

 * The last thing I did was rowing. 10 X 3, weight was 10




After training I had to go for a walk with Dennis, because of all the snow we still use the spark ("sledge").It is very good for my back, much better than cruches on snow.
 

This winter has been a really oldfashioned winter with lots of snow!
