Art weekend and new excersises in the gym

This weekend I have been taking a class in Vedic art,- any of you have tryed it?
It is exciting, because you paint from your heart and do not learn tecnics 😏
This is one of my paintings:

To me this painting means a lot 💗 Under the heart I made a drawing of my brace, but over I pianted a heart with a tear for the sorrow the scoliosis has given me and a heart for the pleasures  it has given me. In between is a S spine. Hearts and text and ribbon for the love of my severe curves 💗

It was an exhausting weekend (because we where sitting all day),- 3 days with learning and drawing/painting. But my back is pretty ok today and I am so satisfied after the weekend 😊
I am not an artist, but it is important to do some creative work anyway 👍 

Today I got new excersises from my physioterapist, he want me to do more excersises without the devices. Because then I have to get to know my muscles better and use my own body as weight.
I started with the Treadmill to get warmed up: 15 min, 11% increase, 5 km/h
And then Pulldown : 10 X 3, 30 kg




Starting to do a sort of plank. Hard to keep the hip and back in correct position!
 
I need to strengthen my stomachmuscles too 😉

The 2 excersises shown by my physioterapist is to strengthen my backmuscles. (Looks like we are outside, but it is just a poster 😏 )




I will not do all the old excersises now, I will not do Seated leg press, and only one of the armdevices. We are not bothering with my breathing now since it is hard to make the loungefunction better because of my curves.

We have lots of fun because my musckles are responding "a little" different than in normal bodies💪 So when he ask me which muscles do you feel  now? I very often feel that other muscles than he expect are working 😉 That is ok!

I think maybe I will feel this in my neck and head tomorrow, but I don't give up!

Finally back to the gym :-)

6 weeks since I was at the gym! 
First because of the fall on the ice,- a miracle that I did not get more hurt!
Then I had 3 lovely weeks on Gran Canaria, my paradise island <3



This was my view :-) I lived up on the hill so I had a long hill to climb + a lot of stairs,- but I noticed the benefit of my excercise :-)
Lot of walks, nice food and wine, old friends and nice conversations. I miss it allready!

I was back in Norway 24. of December, the most important day of Christmas in Norway. I had several invitations but was too tired so I enjoyed some time alone with tapas (see photo) I brought from the island :-) Listening to a choir singing Christmas carols.
On Thuesday evening I got food poisening so I was not able to go the gym, actually I have not been well enough to start until this Monday :-(





But finally Monday 9. of January I started again! My physiotherapist told me to start gently. He obviously don't know me well ;-) I started almost like I used to do in November, I had to check out if I could!


I DID IT! WOW! I did the treadmill and all of the program! Amazing after 6 weeks!

Hehe, I was "punished" ! Thuesday and Wednesday I could hardly walk ;-) I send a text to my physiotherapist and his answer was:"That's good! One normally gets stiff after so long time. That means the load(?) has been good. Well done!" He also said that maybe it is time to increase the time and load......

New shoes in fresh colour is an inspiration ;-)

I was so proud of my self <3 And today the program was a little bit better again,- maybe I will increase some of the devises next week?
