Autumn. Headache. Gym

Long time since my last chapter,- sorry 😔 I hope you are ok?

I know some of you remember my story: diagnozed when I was 4 with 40+ degrees, braces for 9 years and then my curves where 60+, now I am 63 and my curves are 90 and 85 degrees. Not much pain, but daily headache since I was 4.

Since I now have fatigue I only go to the gym 2 days a week, but because of a lot of headache I sometimes managed only 1 day pr week,- better than nothing but obviously too little!

I now also use the section where the "musclepeople" are 💪 and you know what ? I feel so much less handicapped there 😊 It is a really good feeling!







I have lots of excersises for my back and stomach of course, but also for keeping my balanse ok. This is very important when we get old, it can prevent falling and braking legs 👍





We have a beautyful fall after the extraordinary hot summer 🌞 Now we still have some summerflowers, but the trees are yellow and orange. Not long til we can get snow 😕

I have been pretty active these weeks,- trips with friends, walking my dog, Dennis, of course, making the garden ready for winter, knitted a scarf, reading and doing some embroidery 😏



Wednesday my youngest nephew was on the catwalk for the first time, he was so good!

 And tomorrow I shall go to a basketballmatch where my oldest nephew play (the photo is from a earlier match, I have purple jacket). They have won the first 2 matches so I hope they win this too 🏀
 
I hope you all are ok? Not much pain? Do you have summer or fall where you live?

Now excersising with the musclepeople

My physioterapist decided that I now shall do some of my excersises in the same rooms as the people with big muscles! Lot of nice young bodies to look at 😋 while I do the things I shall do.

 I have been going to the gym 2-3 days pr week for 2 years now and FINALLY I got sore muscles 😮💪 I have been doing hard work on the other devices too, but these are obviously different! So maybe I can feel progress in my body soon?

As you know I have fatigue (due to a life long severe scoliosis and several other stuff), now I have found out that my ironlevel (ferritin) is low again. It was 22 in the winter,- the level shall be from 15 to 150. Now I have 8, that is too low so I have to take tablets (iron and vitamin C). I also eat lots of beeroot, liver, dark green vegetables +++
This has been a problem my whole adult life 😔
 
Maybe you have suggestions to what else I can do?

 My dear dog Dennis has problems too 😩 He has been to the vet and next week he has to have surgery and remove several teeths! He is 10 in September and Lhasa apsos have too many teeths for their jaw so they can easely get problems. I am very nervous for the surgery, he is my child and I love him 💓

I now drink the Kombucha I have made every day! Hope it will do good for my body 😊
Have you tried it? It is fermented tea, very good for our bowls 👍
Next time I will try making it with blueberries!

Fatigue from a long life with severe scoliosis?

Long time since I wrote a chapter in my blog, but this summer has been so amazing 🌞
It has been the warmest and driest summer in over 70 years in southern Norway! Not good for farmers and nature, but my body loves it and I have less pain 👍

I love walking on the soft paths in the wood, and a long the river with my dog



I have not been much at the gym, because I have been sooo exhausted.
My physioterapist and my doctor agree that I have fatigue from having severe scoliosis all my life 😔So now I only go to the gym 2 days a week, not 3. I was so tired after walking my dog every day (wich of course is a must!) and excersising 3 days,- and try to keep contact with family and friends. The house is a really mess because it has come in the last place of what I should do.......


But I love all my flowers in the garden, and the tomatoes, chili and peppers 🍅🌹





I have not been away on holiday this summer (I usually don't because I go away in winter), but I was at the cinema and saw Mamma Mia 2,- very nice! We laughed, cried and wanted to sing and dance 

This summer I have tried making something new and healthy,- have you heard of Kombucha? It is fermented tea and very good for the bacteria in our bowels 😊

Scoby, the "fungus" that work in the tea to ferment it

My first batch, the scoby is in the bottom, the new scoby is in the making at the top, and the rest is Roibus tea, water and brown sugar

It is a new world, with lots of strange words: scoby, scobyhotel, batch, kombucha, fermenting 😏 I will try to ferment vegetables also later, very healthy.
Anyone else do this?
